Tom B. Carvey Papers, 1948-1968

Tom B. Carvey (b.1922) was the first president of the Palos Verdes Democratic Club (1948), secretary of the Democratic State Central Committee, a delegate to the Democratic National Conventions (1956, 1960, 1964, and 1968), chairman of the first California Democratic Council State Issues Program, and third president of the California Democratic Council (1961-65). The collection consists of correspondence, minutes, election campaign literature, publications, clippings, photographs, and tapes related to California Democratic Party politics between 1948-67 and the California Democratic Council (CDC) during Carvey's years as president (ca. 1962-65).
